As unpredictable as it may be, we have decisions to make. Some are easy & others will break your heart, especially when you have to make one with your head, months after your heart has made it. And Yes, the two are different.
Decisions made by the heart tend to be like caution thrown to the wind. They can be overwhelming, confusing, and yes, crazy. The heart has no boundaries. It doesn't know the rules of the society, it's norm and worst of all, it has no sense of timing.
So, thank God for your head popping in the middle with its rationality & becoming the grounding force before thing gets out of hand.When you have to decide like that, the pain can be immense, but, fortunately, the heart will mend & as cliche it may sound.
"LIFE GOES ON"
But even though the heart mends, it is never the same. It carries with it a reminder everywhere it goes. For when it decided to throw caution to the wind, it also threw a piece of itself,to be replaced by the treasure recieved because of the decision. It is changed and it has changed forever, but the trick is not to look at it with anger but with love.
When you share yourself with someone, they in turn share themselves with you.& when trust and understanding arises, it becomes deeper and evolves into friendship. Sometimes it fades and becomes a wonderful memory that never disappears. There is always something that will stir that memory to life, a scent, a word, a song......
Once we become part of someone's life, we never leave. Although we may decide to stand alone, it does not tarnish the feelings and yes, we know that it will not be easy and loneliness can be difficult at times, but we have hurdles of our own. That is what makes us who we are.
